My journey from small town dreams to hospitality
Born and raised in a small town in Northwest Indiana, my path to Purdue University was a long-held dream. While the exact career wasn't clear at first, my dad's brewery venture during my freshman year of high school, and the success of his business partners in the restaurant industry, opened my eyes. Watching a successful alumna from Purdue's HTM program inspired me to pursue this exciting career, shaping the passion I have today.
My academic passion: hospitality management
My college journey at Purdue has been dedicated to mastering the art and science of guest experiences. I am currently pursuing a degree in Hospitality Management, complemented by a minor in Event and Meeting Management. This unique combination equips me with the skills to craft unforgettable events and manage dynamic hospitality operations with excellence.
Memorable experiences that shaped me
Two experiences stand out as highlights of my college journey. Meeting and connecting with so many inspiring alumni at career fairs has been invaluable, providing insights and mentorship that fuel my ambition. Furthermore, being a part of the Black Tie Dinner, especially serving on the Host Team this year, has taught me immense lessons in event planning, teamwork, and leadership.
